Chinese Embassy in Dominica Holds Reception in Celebration of PRC’s 74th Anniversary

On September 28th 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Dominica held a reception in celebration of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The reception was attended by Chinese Ambassador Lin Xianjiang and all diplomats of the Embassy, and was hosted by Counsellor Chen Xiaojun, Deputy Chief of the Embassy. Over 180 guests also attended the event, including President of Dominica Charles Savarin, Acting Prime Minister Irving McIntyre, House Speaker Joseph Isaac and Mrs. Isaac, President-elect Sylvanie Burton, cabinet ministers, representatives of House and other government officials, Ambassadors of other diplomatic corps, as well as representatives from the media, Chinese institutions, and Chinese community in Dominica.

Ambassador Lin Xianjiang emphasized China's recent achievements in economic development, opening-up, global governance in his remarks and introduced the fruitful results of pragmatic cooperation between China and Dominica in various fields, looking forward to jointly promoting bilateral relations to a new level on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two sides next year.

Acting Prime Minister Irving McIntyre warmly congratulated China on its National Day on behalf of the Government in his remarks, stating that Dominica always adheres to One-China Policy and regards China as a good friend and is willing to continuously enhance cooperation with China, promote people-to-people exchanges and further consolidate the friendship between the two countries.
