Chinese Embassy in Dominica Holds a Media Briefing on China's Efforts to Combat Novel Coronavirus

On February 4, Mr. Luo Songtao, Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Dominica, held a media briefing on China's efforts to combat the pneumonia epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus. Dominican mainstream media such as GIS, DBS, DNO, the Chronicle, Kairi FM, Vibes Radio attended the briefing.

Chargé d'Affaires Luo briefed the epidemic situation in China and the efforts of the Chinese government to combat the epidemic. Luo said that under the leadership of the Chinese President Xi Jinping, China has established a nationwide mechanism, taken the most comprehensive and rigorous prevention and control measures, and actively carried out international public health cooperation with openness, transparency and in a responsible manner, which are fully recognized and highly commended by the WHO and the international community. Luo said China has full determination, confidence and capability to win the battle against the outbreak. Luo also answered questions from reporters such as the status of Dominican students in China and the future development of the epidemic.

The attendees thanked Luo for the briefing and said that it is very meaningful and helpful for a comprehensive and accurate understanding of China's efforts to fight the epidemic. They wishes China an early victory over the epidemic.
