Recently, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica sent a letter respectively to H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China and Hon. Li Keqiang, Premier of the People's Republic of China, to express his deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the Chinese Government and many families who have lost loved ones in the wake of the unexpected outbreak of the novel coronavirus on behalf of the Dominican Government and people.

Prime Minister Skerrit said that he is truly inspired by the speediness of the Chinese Government's response to contain the spread and totally eliminate this dreadful outbreak. He also expressed gratitude that even China confronts this crisis and safeguard its citizens, China has been able to equally ensure that all of the Dominican students and nationals remain safe and healthy. He said that the Dominican Government and people pledge their full support and solidarity to the Chinese Government and people at this time and they remains confident that the chaos brought about by the deadly coronavirus will be short-lived.
