On January 29, H.E. Ambassador Chu Maoming made a field trip to the construction site of the China-Aid Project of Schools Reconstruction after Hurricane in the Commonwealth of Dominica, undertaken by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), to assess the progress of rebuilding of schools damaged by Hurricane Maria. They toured the construction site of Sineku Primary School, accompanied by project team leaders and Sun Xinhua, First Secretary at the Chinese Embassy responsible for economic and commercial affairs.

During his visit, Ambassador Chu Maoming attentively reviewed the project team’s report on the overall status and recent construction progress, and emphasized the need to consistently prioritize quality and safety above all else, actively advance the project's development, and strive to complete a modern, high-quality school for local students and parents at the earliest opportunity. As the Spring Festival approaches, Chu Maoming instructed the project team to make proper arrangements for the workers' holiday activities, ensuring everyone enjoys a warm and satisfying Spring Festival celebration while away from their families.

The project team stated that they will remain true to their original aspirations and mission, redouble their efforts, and contribute to the advancement of Dominica's education career through the establishment of a high-standard modern school, thereby further strengthening the friendship between the two nations.
