On March 20, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Chu Maoming briefed local media on 2026 Two Sessions of China, namely the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Journalists from GIS, Kairi FM, Dominica News Online, and Nature Isle News, as well as social media influencers, attended the event.

Ambassador Chu provided a detailed overview of China’s achievements in economic and social development in 2025, the main targets for 2026, and the guiding principles of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He noted that this year China will further expand high-standard opening up, accelerate the green transition across the board, and continue to uphold international fairness and justice. These policies, he emphasized, will bring tangible opportunities to Dominica. China stands ready to continue strengthening cooperation with Dominica so that the outcomes of China–Dominica relations and Chinese modernization can benefit more people.

Following the briefing, Ambassador Chu answered questions from journalists and exchanged views with participants on practical cooperation between China and Dominica as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
